Lita Rossana Ford Also called Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in the UK. She was the lead guitarist as a member of The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all girls from the 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and raunchy lyrics made them noticed by the rock community. Although the band was not successful in their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. The band broke up in 1979 Ford began a successful solo career in heavy metal. She began taking voice classes before releasing her debut album "Out For Blood" and then "Dancin" at the Edge. Both albums failed to have much success, and Ford disappeared out of the scene for a few years. In 1988, she returned to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever' both became huge hit songs. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the music industry for a number of years. Following the release of 'Black' in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards it was back in the spotlight. The album she released most recently 'Time Capsule was launched in 2016. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
